Janet A. Clopper, 80, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. She was born on December 1, 1944, in Welsh Run, PA, to the late James O. and Sylvia M. (McNew) Weller.
Janet was a 1963 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and attended Macedonia United Brethren Church in Greencastle, PA. Throughout her life, Janet worked for the former Stanley Co. in Chambersburg, PA, she was a homemaker, house cleaner, and drove a school bus #34 for the Tuscarora School District. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and enjoyed gardening in her free time.
She is survived by four daughters, Cynthia Briggs and her husband Brian of Fannettsburg, PA; Christina Mills and her husband John of Clear Spring, MD; Linda Clopper of Greencastle, PA; Devon “Jen” Porter of Winston Salem, NC; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; four sisters Bonita Pflieger and her husband Gus of Waynesboro, PA; Barbara Jarrett of Richmond Furnace, PA; Marcia Beaver and her husband Rocky of Greencastle, PA; Diane Jaime and her husband Bobby of Greencastle, PA; three brothers Marvin Weller and his wife Kathy of Greencastle, PA; Jeff Weller of Greencastle, PA; Tim Weller and his wife Laurie of Clear Spring, MD. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Clopper, brother Clarence Weller, and an infant sister and brother.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle, PA 17225. Interment will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park 17636 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD 21742 with Pastor Brian Black officiating.
