Jeremy Cohen, age 41, passed away recently. Jeremy was a loving, gregarious, and adventurous dad. He loved to cook and packed lunches for his kids every day. Even through the challenges since his stroke 8 years ago, he was always up for a camping or hiking adventure and was dutifully in charge of the campfire for the family. He passed his love of music, improv, theater and sports on to his children; and always present cheer leading his kids at their events. In their 14 years of marriage, Rachel and Jeremy shared their love of the environment, Judaism, exploring the world together, and raising their three beautiful children. Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd D. Cohen, step father, Paul Weinstock and father-in-law, Richard Miller. Survived by his wife, Rachel Cohen; children, Ma'ayan, Matias and Benji Cohen; mother, Randi Weinstock; brother, Eric (Andria) Cohen; sisters, Gayle (Brian) Cohen and Allyson (Brian) Lierl; mother-in-law, Diane (Beryl z"l) Bloomstone; sister-in-law Rebecca Miller, uncles, Matt Cohen, Tim Schuster, Dave Schuster and Marvin Miller; aunts, Penny and Lisa nieces and nephews, Teddi, Eli, Mara, Layla and Jada; cousins, Paula Bernard, Kenny Cohen, Morrisa Cohen, Amy Cohen, Michael Cohen, Jim Schuster, Amanda Riley, Duncan and Lexi Schuster. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 3rd at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St. For a link to the Zoom please email [email protected] Interment will follow at Forest Lawn - Temple Israel section. A shiva gathering in celebration of Jeremy's life will be held Sunday, February 5th from 4-6pm at 22 S. Parkview Avenue A service, stories and Kaddish will be recited at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeremy's memory may be made to Teva- Hazon at www.hazon.org
