Jeremy Curtis Young

Jeremy Curtis Young, 32, of Venice, Florida, passed away at 5:29 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025. Born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, January 19, 1993, Jeremy was the son of Jerome Young and Sylvia (McCain) Young.

A graduate of Marion High School, Jeremy pursued a career in the hospitality industry, where he served as a manager. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

Jeremy enjoyed playing video games, chess, and cards, and cherished time spent with his family--especially playing catch with his nephew, Jamir, challenging Jodeci to chess matches, and embracing the nickname "Uncle Jenny" from his niece, Ja'myla. His love for action and superhero movies reflected his adventurous nature and his willingness to try new things. Jeremy will be remembered for his compassion, humor, and the unique joy he brought to those who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Sylvia (James Williamson) Young of Marion; father, Jerome Young of Kokomo; siblings: Joseph Jaska Mallory of NY, Jericca Young of Marion, D'Breante Ford of Marion, and Jaylon (Amelia) Young of Marion; grandmother, Pearlene McCain of Marion; special nephews, Jodeci Young and Jamir Young; special niece, Ja'myla Young; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; bonus brothers, Nico Venize, Mac Venize, and Richard Scroggins; as well as bonus sister and best friend, Joniqua Simmons.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday, August 15, 2025, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1204 W. 14th St., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Jeremy's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor C.L. Adams officiating.
