Jerome George "Jerry" Scheiman, age 91 passed away on April 29, 2025 in North Olmsted, Ohio. He was born on April 19, 1934, in Cleveland to the late Albert C. and Matilda (Radko) Scheiman. Jerry served his country in the US Marine Corps and retired as a truck mechanic for the United States Postal Service.
Jerry loved farming and working on anything mechanical. He enjoyed working in his workshop and was an animal lover, especially dogs. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 64 Years, Waline (Reitz) Scheiman; his loving children, Michael (Theresa) Scheiman, Edward (Sally) Scheiman, Joseph (Kathy)Scheiman, David Scheiman, George (Carol) Scheiman, Ralph (Deborah) Scheiman, Timothy (Rebecca) Scheiman, Raymond Scheiman and Cynthia (Daniel) Grissom; cherished grandchildren, Kayla, Ashley, Michael, Jacob, Emily, Abby, Bradford, Daniel, Julian, Chasitity, Andrew, Christin, Keiti, Julie, Sarah, Olivia, Grace, Joshua, Patrick, Karen, Christian Jacob, Matthew and Jeremiah; 21 great grandchildren; his siblings Laverne, Carol, Rose, Mary and Donald; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of collected friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his daughters, Diane and Linda Scheiman; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Scheiman; his granddaughter, Nattalee; and his siblings, Albert, Robert, Butch, Catherine, Susan, John, William and James.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am, Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish-Seville, 60 High St, Seville, OH 44273. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 am at the church. He will be laid to rest at Poe Cemetery in Montville Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jerry's memory to Our Lady Help of Christians Parish at the address above.
