Jerry was born on May 10th, 1947, to Donald and Firma Bellet (Pergande). After graduating from Fergus Falls High School in 1965, he went into the Army reserves for 6 years. Then he moved to Minneapolis where he learned to weld. He then moved back to Fergus Falls and was a self-employed welder at Bellet’s Welding for 44 years. Jerry was married to Betty Jo (Langston) Bellet for 30 amazing years.
Jerry enjoyed the outdoors especially being up north deer hunting with family and friends. He also loved going fishing with friend Scott Sampson and son Donald Bellet. He loved his fishing trips to Canada and his trip to Idaho elk hunting. He also enjoyed bear, turkey, goose and duck hunting. If you knew Jerry you knew he also loved to read books, he would always have a book in his hand or very close by. He loved his family very much and really liked spending time with them whenever possible.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Betty Jo, who he loved dearly; his sister Deborah Olson; Three children, Melissa (Chris) Wiezorek, Donald (Tawnya) Bellet, Jennifer (James Anderson) Bellet; Two step children, Jason (Kristine) Swiontek, Rebecca (Bryan Kocian) Bellet; Nine grandchildren, Alex and Nicholas Wiezorek, Betty Jane and Macy Bellet, Lexi, Kali and Aubree Swiontek, Mikey and Miley Kocian; Three great grandchildren, Luke Tungseth, Jaiden and Lee Heronemus.
