Jerry Dean Damesworth

Jerry Dean Damesworth, age 78, of Waverly, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was born in Humphreys County, TN, to the late Roy Damesworth, Sr. and Avanell Rinker Damesworth. Jerry was a faithful member of the Log Church in Waverly, TN. Jerry proudly served his country for 2 years in the United States Army. He worked at Consolidated Aluminum until they closed, Ormet Aluminum Mill for 6 years and retired from TVA after 14 years. Jerry's biggest accomplishment and hobby was obtaining his CDL and purchasing a dump truck. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed mentoring others about farming and construction.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years; Margaret Robertson Damesworth, of Waverly, TN, sons; Matthew Damesworth and Derek Damesworth (Melissa), both of Waverly, TN, grandchildren; Faith, Drew, Colton, Grace, Hope, Kycen, and Paxton, great grandchildren; Lilah, Kyler and Luka, brother; Roy Damesworth, Jr., and sisters; Peggy Marrs and Linda Holland.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Avanell Damesworth and son; Chris Damesworth.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Log Church in honor of Jerry's memory.
