He was born May 6, 1946 in Ashland the son of George and Clara Benepe Funk. Jerry was a truck driver for
Ashland County and was a member of the Maple Grove Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth Funk of the home, two sons, Howard (Marie) Funk of Orrville and Mark
(Kristi Ferguson) Funk of Ashland, 4 grandchildren, Brittany (Ryan) Poling, Dean (Kelsi) Funk, Benjamin
(Jacqueline) Funk and Samantha Funk, and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Funk, a grandson, Matthew Funk, a great granddaughter and a
sister, Georgia.
Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday July 8, 2025 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with
Pastor Steve Keib officiating. Burial will be in Lake Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday July 7, 2025 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
