Jerry Eugene Hacker, 86, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his home in Prescott Valley, AZ surrounded by his family. Jerry was born in Iowa City, IA on August 30, 1938; the son of Leonard E. and Agnes (Welshhons) Hacker.

His love of cars led him to a career as an Auto Body Repairman. He worked at Howlett Chev, Hick’s and Sallman Body Shops. He then had his own shop for 8 years. Jerry and his wife Nancy moved to Arizona in 1985. He worked for Prescott Body Shop and Quality Collision where he retired in 2001. His hobby was cars. He rebuilt many cars over the years. His last one was a Roadster that he built from the ground up.

He married Nancy Vander Hart and had four children to that union. Jerry is survived by his wife of 66 years; his children Cindy (Mike) Snider of Grimes, IA; Duane Hacker of Des Moines, IA; Lee (Daisy) Hacker of Prescott, AZ and Kim Hacker of Prescott Valley, AZ. Also, grandchildren, Carmen (Jamie) Patrick, Jennifer (Sam) Bish, Mindy Hacker, James Hacker, Shelby Scalf, Julia (Devin) Redd, Jerry Lee (Holli) Hacker and 19 Great Grand Children. As well as many extended family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
