Kukulis, Jerry F. – of Chesaning, died peacefully Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his residence. He was 91 years of age.
Jerry was born August 9, 1933, at the family homestead in Chesaning to the late Frank and Mary (Krizan) Kukulis. He was united in marriage to Harriet Neumeyer on November 10, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church. Mr. Kukulis served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. He retired from GM in Flint with 30 years seniority and also worked the family farm. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the UAW. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Tigers baseball, working on the family farm and remodeling houses.
He is survived by: wife, Harriet; children: Helen Shock of Stevensville, Michael (Steph) Kukulis of Owosso, Robert (Joy) Kukulis of Lansing; grandchildren: Craig (Nicky), Carissa (Brent), Ben (Lindsey), Logan (Kendall); 5 great grandchildren; sister, Joan (Frank) Rieder; nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Lillian Hedrich and Virginia Gosselin; and brother, Ernie Kukulis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor Paul Tessmer officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning from 2-8 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Memorials in his memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
