Jerry L. Rausch, 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Austinburg Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on August 9, 1933 in Tuscarawas County, OH, the son of Adrian and Mildred (Howard) Rausch. Jerry graduated from Tuscarawas High School Class of 1951. Mr. Rausch went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army. On March 18, 1955, Jerry and Betty Mahaffey united in marriage and shared 64 years of love and created many cherished memories along the way.

Jerry was an avid Cleveland sports fan, especially the Indians. Jerry himself was a talented athlete, beating opponents at H-O-R-S-E and "Around the World", well into his early 70s. He loved to fish especially with his brother-in-law, Jerry. One of his favorite things was to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish the memories of Jerry are his children, Shelley Lipps, Linda (Bradley) Corlew, and John (Michele) Rausch; grandchildren, Andy (Tessa) Lipps, Emily Lipps, Ryan (Amanda) Corlew, Caleb (Amanda) Corlew, Precious (Jareth) Woods, Cherish (Alex) Reed, and Jarod Rausch; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jane (Paul) Delcoma and Judy (Jerry) Gwinn.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; siblings, Jack Rausch, and Jeanette Nicks.

In following Jerry's wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Selita, Taylor and Pearl at Austinburg Rehabilitation Center, as well as Mary, Stacey, Amber, Jordan and Donna at the Hospice of the Western Reserve for the exceptional care they showed Jerry during his final moments.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, OH 44004.

Funeral arrangements were trusted to Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave. Ashtabula, OH 44004. Online obituary and condolences can be made at www.ducro.com.
