In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Randy (Sandy) Widener; granddaughters, Lauren Widener, Taylor Widener (Matthew) Pittz; brother, Kenneth (Janice) Widener and Daughter in law, Carla Widener.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Audley L. and Jeanette Norma Ergle Widener; son, Rodney Widener; and brother, Byron Widener.
Mr. Widener was a member of the Warrenville Revival Center where he served as the Minister of Music for many years. He was a true Godly example. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Friday August 22, 2025 at 2pm at the Warrenville Revival Center with Bishop Phillip Napier and Pastor Scott Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends on the day of the service from 12pm until the time of the service at the church. The interment will follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Tommy Conaway, Dean Conaway, Dennis Conaway, Boyd Kneece, Skip Baggot and Van Baggot.
