Funeral Mass for Jesse Gonzales, age 84 of Seminole, Texas, will be celebrated Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Eduardo Teo officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery. Rosary will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Gonzales was born in Three Rivers, Texas on December 9, 1940 to Otilia (Benevides) and Jose Gonzales. He married Vera Serna in Dallas, Texas on August 18, 1999. Jesse was a truck driver and great provider for his family; he loved his job. He cherished his family and animals and was known for giving out gold coins to his family members. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting.

Jesse Gonzales passed away at Seminole Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole on Saturday, August 16, 2025. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Goodwin; two brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Vera Gonzales of Seminole; one son, Jimmy Gonzales of Seminole; three daughters, Virginia M. Gonzales of Seminole, Christina Enriguez of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Jessica Gonzales of Seminole; one brother, Gilbert Gonzales and wife Anita of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Maria Gonzales of Levelland, Texas, Nora Higgins, and Dora Rodriguez and husband Pedro, both of Midlothian, Texas, and Emma Frier and husband Fip of Seminole; ten grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
