JESSE LEWIS LYLE, 87, of Piedmont, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Born in Borden Springs to Frank and Mattie Lee Lorren Lyle, he was one of eight children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two sons: David Michael Lyle and Russell Douglas McGaha; and siblings: Margaret Lyle Redding, Emmett "Buddy” Lyle, and James Beecham.
He is survived by his wife: Judith Depuy Lyle; his daughter law: Ruth Ann McGaha; brothers: Roy Beecham, Troy Beecham, and Henry Beecham; and sisters: Jackie Beecham Goodwin.
Jabo, as he was affectionately known, served in the US Navy for 21 years. After discharge, he worked at HON on the parts assembly line. He loved to hunt and fish and was generally, an outdoorsman.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 5:00 – 7: 00 p.m. Rev. Patrick Cummings will officiate. Burial will be on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrancas Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Lyle Family.
