Jessica Marie Larson (Jessie) was born on June 5, 1994 and entered Heaven on December 3, 2021. She was born 6 weeks early, weighing 3 pounds 10 ounces. Jess was little, but she was feisty and spoke her truth. She stood up for and fiercely protected those she loved, especially her brother and her parents. She had a huge heart and a beautiful smile, and she always wanted to make people happy. If someone had a need and she could do something to help or surprise someone, she would. Jess graduated from Willard High School in 2012. Life after high school was often difficult for Jess. She struggled with mental health and addiction issues which were very hard to overcome. She tried though and faced her demons head on. Just a few months ago, Jess moved into her first apartment. She enjoyed having her own space, though she was the first to say adulting was hard. This was made a little easier by her new kitten, Finley. Finley was not always the nicest to her, but she was determined to show him love and she wasn't going to give up on him. Jess loved music, her friends, Cherry Pepsi, and her phone. She was a fan of true crime shows, and she enjoyed going out to eat and on trips with her family.
Jess is survived by her parents, Darin and Jennifer Larson, her brother, Nathan Larson, grandparents Donna and Marvin McMullin and Pat and Barry Thompson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Hailey Larson, her grandfather Don Larson, and her great-grandparents. Jess was saved and baptized at Grandview Baptist Church. She was a firm believer in prayer and prayed daily. We know she is now experiencing amazing things we can only imagine here, and we can't wait until we can meet her there someday.
Jess is no longer in pain, and she no longer has physical burdens to keep her tied to this world. Jess loved hugs, and once said that a good hug should last at least 20 seconds. Please honor her today by hugging someone you love and letting them know.
Visitation will be at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield, MO. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 1:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm.
