David Walton Sallee of Fair Grove, MO, was born on February 6, 1963, and passed away on August 31, 2025, in his home at the age of 62. David was born in Springfield, MO to Boyd and Shirley Sallee who preceded him in death.
David, known fondly as Dave, was married to his beloved wife, Lori on May 12, 1995. They celebrated 30 years of marriage prior to Dave's passing. They shared two children, Blake and Clay Sallee who both survive him. Dave is survived by two siblings, a brother Michael (Mike) Sallee and a sister Debra (Debbie) Sallee; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In his professional life Dave built a meaningful career as an insurance help desk technician with American National Insurance, where his patience, generosity, and dedication earned the respect and gratitude of colleagues and clients alike.
Dave was a man of many passions, who lived with a joy and passion that inspired others. He was an enthusiastic sports lover and played football from his early years of childhood continuing through his years at Willard High School and into college. Dave enthusiastically followed both college and NFL teams in his later years, passionately supporting his favorite team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dave was an avid golfer and spent many years on the golf course with friends. As a younger man, Dave embraced his cowboy spirit participating in rodeos where his cowboy heart embraced the thrill of the arena.
More than his accomplishments and interests, Dave touched many lives in his 62 years on earth, he will be remembered for the way he made others feel valued, cared for, and loved. His laughter filled every room, his kindness was boundless, and his ability to form genuine, lasting connections was a gift to all who knew him.
In honor of Dave's life, a celebration of his spirit will be held at a later date. The family will announce the details of the funeral services and ceremonies at that time, and everyone who knew and loved Dave will be welcome to join in remembering this remarkable man. Though he has left this world, Dave's laughter, kindness, and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
