Jessie Dwayne Poe, 56, passed away on November 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on November 24, 1968, Jessie lived a life filled with joy, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Brenda Poe, and his brother, Jody Wade Poe.
Jessie is survived by his children, son Aaron Smith and daughters Sheena Poe and Lydia Boyd; his father, Johnny Poe; his sister, Tina Knight; his brother, Johnny Lee Poe; several beloved grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends-too many to name, but each treasured deeply.
Jessie was a loving, friendly, and funny man who had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him smile. He loved to fish, spend time with his family and friends, and find joy in the simple moments of life. Known for his big heart, Jessie was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His laughter, his jokes, and the warmth he shared with so many will be remembered forever.
A celebration of Jessie's life will be held on November 23, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Soddy Daisy Veterans Park. The family welcomes all friends and relatives to come together in honoring his memory.
Jessie will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
