James Carroll Vaughn, 84, of Evansville, IN passed March 17, 2025 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. He was born December 10, 1940 in Henderson, KY to the late Paul and Inis (Pugh) Vaughn.
Jim graduated from Henderson County High School, Class of 1959. He retired in 2010 from Ferro Plastics as their National Sales Director. Jim enjoyed being, "Pop" to his wonderful grandchildren and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Georgia (Kost) Vaughn.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy West (Jeff); granddaughters, Cassie Bagwell (Marcus Jr.) and Carly Kaufman; great-grandchildren, Anaya Bagwell, Marcus Bagwell 3rd and Cooper Merrill; sisters, Terry, Kathy, Debbie and Pauletta; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Pastor Rick Sellers officiating and burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the funeral home and from 10:00 am until 11:00 am service time on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MS 21741.
