We come together to remember and celebrate the adventurous life of Jimmy Duncan, who left us on April 10, 2025, just a few months shy of his 50th birthday. Born on December 22, 1975, in the vibrant city of Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, Jimmy was spirited from the start, always eager to explore the world around him. He carried this sense of adventure with him throughout his life, whether he was snowboarding down a steep mountain, diving deep into the ocean, or simply exploring a new video game. His love for these activities was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends, who he always made time for amidst his adventures.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He was married to his loving wife, Amanda, since July 20, 2002. Together, they raised their two wonderful sons Aidan and Luke in Layton, Utah, where they lived for 20 years. Prior to settling down, Jimmy's adventurous spirit led him to live in various places, including Clovis, New Mexico, and England. Throughout his life, Jimmy was a dedicated Senior Systems Administrator, who loved his work as much as he loved a good game of chess or golf. His unwavering dedication was also evident in his love for his family especially his two boys and enjoying the little moments in life. He had a soft spot for animals, especially Winnie, and a deep love for music, card games, and the beach.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Amanda; his sons, Aidan and Luke; his parents, Michael and Chanphen Duncan; his brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Mary Duncan, and his in-laws, Brent and Karin Goodwin. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his adventurous spirit, loving nature, dedicated work ethic, and loyal friendship.
We invite all who knew and loved Jimmy to share their memories and photos on his memorial page. Celebrate his life by sharing your favorite moments spent with him, as we remember and honor a life well-lived. Jimmy's story is not over; it continues in each one of us who carry his memory in our hearts.
Jimmy's life will be celebrated on Thursday, April 17, 2025 with an Open House
5:00 - 8:00 pm at the Union Grill Downstairs Venue, 315 24th street Ogden UT.
