Jimmy Virgil McDonald passed away on August 5, 2024.

 Jimmy was born August 10, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late J. D. and Maude McDonald. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church since 1961 when he was saved and baptized at the age of 8. He was in acappella choir all through high school at Castleberry.

 Jimmy was a hard worker. He started working at the age of 12 selling cokes at the Wrestling matches at the Northside Coliseum. He worked at the BX at Carswell AirForce Base while in High School. After high school he worked at General Dynamics for several years until he signed up at the Lakeworth Police Department. He was an officer until he worked his way up to detective then eventually a Lieutenant. He also had his own business as a DJ for years and worked for the Fort Worth Stock Show. Jimmy was also a member of the Masonic Lodge as a Shriners and a Wheelie-ing Elvi for many years. He also rode with the Patriot Guard. In December of 1995, Jimmy started at the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office where he retired from in January of 2018. He then helped his nephews at CLS for fun.

 Jimmy spent many years volunteering at Castleberry High School concession stand and the Athletic Boosters for his 3 nephews. He volunteered for all 3 of his daughter’s cheerleader squads at the school and fundraising at NASCAR. He also spent many years volunteering at the River Oaks Event Center with family and friends.

 Jimmy is preceded in passing by his parents.

 Left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Kristin (Brian), Stephanie (Alfredo), and Samantha; Denise; Five grandchildren, Makinzee, Destani, Nicolas, Ana, and Olivia; and many family and friends.

 A Visitation time to visit with the family will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 11 at Brown Owen’s & Brumley Family Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas (425 S Henderson St., Fort Worth, TX 76104). The Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 12 at Grace Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX (1501 Jim Wright Fwy., Fort Worth, TX 76108).
