Jimmy Wayne Milam, 60, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday August 30, 2024, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 19, 1963. His parents are Richard Peck and Judie Carol (King) Milam, and they precede Jimmy in death. Also preceding are his grandparents Lola and John Harve King and Don and Evelyn Milam, several aunts and uncles and his faithful companion his dog Spook.
Jimmy always had a smile on his face, and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a courageous man who survived many trials and tribulations that life through at him. The word "Can't" was not in his vocabulary. His favorite saying was "half measures avail you nothing." He lived life to its fullest and had a lot of fun. Jimmy was an outdoorsman. Mushroom hunting, riding ATVs, fishing, and anything to do with water including jet skiing and swimming. He was always up for any kind of adventure, and he loved to travel. He was generous to a fault and would help anyone with anything at any time. He never knew a stranger. Jimmy loved his friends and family deeply and he will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. He Knew Jesus as his Lord and savior and shared his faith as much as he could.
Jimmy was a part of Celebrate Recovery, Mount Pleasant Church, Prison Ministry, and he helped with other recovery groups. He was a door greeter at Walmart on US Hwy 46 in Terre Haute for 9 years.
Surviving is the love of his life Jeri Sue White of Terre Haute, Isacc White, who Jimmy loved as his own son, of Clinton, sister Shelley Thomas of Rosedale, niece Emma Thomas of Rosedale, nephews Lucas Thomas of Rosedale, and Griffin Cassagane of Plainfield, uncles Joe King, Don Milam Jr., Bill Milam and Ronnie Milam, aunts Joan Scott, Linda Thompson and Roberta Thomas and his beloved dogs Yeti and Tater.
Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Friday September 6, 2024, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday September 7, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Cremation will follow.
