Jimmy Lee Randolph was born on October 15, 1950, and passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late James Hoyt and Nancy "Sis" Randolph. Jimmy was a proud graduate of E.E. Butler High School. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army, receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1976. Following his service, Jimmy made history as the first African American police officer for Gwinnett County. He later dedicated more than 20 years of his career to General Motors. After retirement, he pursued his love for Christ and earned a seminary degree from Beulah Heights Bible College. Known for his warm spirit and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, Jimmy never met a stranger. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 48 years, Martha Randolph; siblings Julie Etheridge and Joe "Bud" Randolph (Deidra); children Miguel Owens (Denise), Portia Holcombe, and Monique Dixon (Lee); 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Jimmy's life was marked by service, love, and faith, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew.
