Jimmy Wilkerson II, affectionately known as "JR", was born August 6, 1990, in Henry County GA, to Jimmy and Sheila Wilkerson. He was educated in Dorchester County District 2 School system in North Charleston, SC, where he graduated from Ft. Dorchester High School in 2008.
JR had a great love for family and never ventured far from home. In his spare time, JR enjoyed listening to music and writing lyrics. He also was a very talented graphic artist with a photographic memory.
JR loved being outdoors and preferred working outside rather than being behind a desk. He loved practical jokes and making others laugh. He had a carefree approach to life, which included hanging out at the beach when time permitted.
In June 2001, Jimmy Wilkerson II surrendered his life to Christ. On June 10, 2023, the Lord dispatched His angels to bring one of His own children home to be with Him.
He is preceded in death by both his paternal grandparents, Granville and Marie Wilkerson and Maternal grandparents, Wesley and Ruby Jackson.
JR leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, his devoted parents, Jimmy and Sheila Wilkerson (Woodstock, GA); A sister, Ayala Grisby (Brunswick, GA); Aunts, Darlene Motley (Cincinnati, OH); Kathy Wilkerson (Cincinnati, OH); Vanessa (Michael) Yancey (McDonough, GA); Loretta (Woodie) Sharpless (Canton, GA); and a great-aunt, Willeen (Joysie) Blakney (Willingboro, NJ); Uncles include, Jerry (Bonita) Wilkerson (Suwanee, GA); Johnny (Anita) Wilkerson (Cincinnati, OH); Two nephews, a niece and a host of cousins and additional kin.
Please keep this family lifted in your thoughts and prayers.
