In Loving Memory of Jo Carol Bowen
April 30, 1945 – May 11, 2025
Jo Carol Bowen, affectionately known as "Jo," passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Cleves, Ohio. A devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, treasured sister, and loyal friend, Jo brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, to George and Mary (née Hay) Kleem, Jo lived a life filled with love, laughter, and connection. Her joyful spirit and kind heart were most evident in the way she cherished time with family and friends. Jo was fond of saying, "Hugs are the best," and her embrace made the world feel a little softer and a lot brighter.
Jo and her beloved husband, Rodger, shared many adventures together-traveling to places like Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, and the Caribbean. She delighted in card games, crossword puzzles, and cheering on her family at birthdays, holidays, and school events. Pool days at Jeanne's and golf trips with her girlfriends were among her favorite times, filled with laughter and love.
Her professional career in Human Resources at the Discovery Channel was marked by meaningful connections and a deep sense of purpose. Jo's legacy includes not just the work she did, but the many friendships and lives she touched along the way.
Jo is survived by her loving husband, Rodger Bowen; sons Jeffery (Patricia) Blake, Michael Blake, and Douglas (Valerie) Bowen; and her beloved grandchildren, Hannah, Christian, and Daniel Blake, and Adrian and Hayden Bowen. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Linda) Kleem, and many nieces and nephews. Jo was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Georgia Everett.
