Virginia R English, lifelong resident of Sayler Park, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Born October 16, 1931 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Isaac & Ethel Sells, Virginia earned the title of Little Miss Pumpkin show in Circleville at an early age. Graduating from Stoutsville High School in 1950, Virginia moved to Cincinnati that same year. She went on to attend Western Hills Beauty School and made a career as a hairdresser, which spanned over 60 years.
Virginia leaves behind her loving daughters: Gina (Dan) Hoffmeister, Judy Ryan and Jennifer (Jim) Hammock; beloved grandson: Ryan (Rebecca) Gardner; brother: Robert Sells, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ethel & Isaac Sells; her great uncle & aunt: Bill & Irene Flesher; her son-in-law: Ted Ryan; and sister-in-law: Robin Sells.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., from 10:30 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery on Neeb Rd.
In honor of Virginia, donations may be made to Bright Providence Presbyterian Church or St Jude Hospital. A funeral representative will be available to accept your donation at the time of service or you may mail it to Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio
