Jo Ann Williams Groom left this world to join her husband Sam and many friends on May 8, 2025. Born on July 24, 1932 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Nan Gardner Williams and Edmond W. Williams, she graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1950 and married Samuel Ward Groom in 1951. Jo is survived by her 3 daughters, Cynthia Ann Groom Louthan, Pamela Sue Groom, and Sammie Jo Groom McCune, 3 grand children, Megan Louthan Tobbitt, Kaylyn McCune, and Brady McCune and three great-grand children Julia McCune, Max McCune, and Gentry McCune. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Nan Gardner Williams and Edmond Wesley Williams, her brother Jean Ed Williams, her sister Nancy Sue Williams, and her husband Samuel Ward Groom. Jo Ann spent her life in service to others through her time at Manning-Daugherty Clinic, membership in the First and Calvary Baptist churches and her work at Blue Sky Bank. She spent her later years in Norman, Oklahoma to be closer to her family.
