William (Bill) Moore Jr. passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at the age of 94 and one day.
Bill was born June 26, 1931, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to William Franklin Moore Sr. and Ruby Lucille (Reed) Moore. He attended Pawhuska Schools, graduating from Pawhuska High School in 1950.
Bill married Barbara Kirk on February 4, 1951, and moved to Bartlesville in 1961. Bill was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company in 1952 and retired in 1992 after a 40-year career in the Lease Records Division of Exploration and Production. His work took them to Aurora, Colorado, in 1982 and they returned to Bartlesville in 1988. Bill enjoyed his many travels with wife Barbara, including Las Vegas, Copper Canyon in Mexico, and cruises to Alaska and to the Caribbean for their 50th wedding anniversary. He also made several trips with his children.
In 2023 he moved to Green Country Village Assisted Living where he enjoyed each and every employee. We thank them so much for the care they provided.
Bill is survived by children Patricia Sousa and husband Frank of Tucson, AZ; Cindy Evans and husband Doug of Wichita Falls, TX; and John Moore and wife Debbie of Huntsville, AR. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Crystal Ennis, Michael Sousa, Rebecca Hayes, Alex Evans, Kasey Mansfield, and Amy Phillips; and seven great-grandchildren, Zac Ennis, Toby Ennis, William Shockley, Owen Mansfield, Delilah Mansfield, Ava Evans, and Addison Evans.
As soon as you met Bill, he became a friend. He loved engaging in conversation and wearing shirts that made people smile. Bill was preceded in death by parents, wife Barbara, and siblings Fanny Snively, Robert Moore and George Moore.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Pawhuska Cemetery with Butch Rush officiating.
