Jo Handlin Obituary
Jo Ann graduated from Ouachita Parish High School, and Louisiana Baptist College with a degree in Elementary Education. She married George Handlin in 1966, and taught elementary school until changing her career to become a dedicated, full-time mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, George; children, Kimery Metzger and Steven Handlin; granddaughter, Jovanka Metzger; siblings: Gene Shannon, Russell (Wanda) Shannon, Tommy Shannon, Marty (Rod) Hannah, Jerry (Deborah) Shannon and Becky (David, deceased) Harrison, and many nieces and nephews. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, James and Irene Shannon; sisters-in-law, Ann Shannon and Pat Shannon; brother-in-law, David Harrison; and nephew, Doug Shannon, all of Louisiana.
