Joan was born in Milwaukee on August 16, 1932, the much loved child of Cora and Edwin Stolle Wrensch. She entered into Eternal Life on June 2, 2021, at Ruth Hospice in West Allis. Beloved wife of the late Douglas. Loving mother to Barbara (John) Dallman, Beverly Schlosser, Paul (Annette) Christiansen, and James (Cathy)Christiansen. Joan adored her grandchildren; Jack and Patrick Dallman, Eric (Bethany) Schlosser, Nathan Schlosser, Katie Christiansen , and Theresa and Joseph Christiansen. She marveled that she had three great-grands; George, Clayton, and Cora Schlosser. Special 'Joanie' to Chris, Eric, and Lauren Wrensch. Dear sister-in-law of Alice Wrensch. Further survived by nieces and nephews whom she cherished, and wonderful friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister Beverly, her favorite brother Ken, and a host of brother and sister in law's and good friends. It will be a big sheepshead party in heaven!
Mom was a ray of sunshine, a smile, a kind word, a good deed. She was a whirlwind of sewing, baking, knitting, gardening, and in later years traveling in the camper with dad. She lived her Lutheran faith and loved her family.
In her last years mom lived at Layton Terrace in the Spring house. The staff was always warm and kind; we extend our deepest gratitude for your loving care. Her last months were made comfortable by the staff at Vitas Hospice. Thank you. Last but not least many thanks to mom's wonderful NB Neighbors on Clearwater Place. Her house was truly a home because of all of you, especially Nick and Tracy.
The family will host a memorial service on Friday, September 24, at Hales Corners Lutheran Church, 12300 Janesville Rd., Hales Corners. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. Refreshments to follow in the church atrium.
