Joan Cecelia (Scheibly) Rowe, age 94 of Alexandria, Kentucky, passed away on November 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Joan was a member of St. Mary Parish in Alexandria, Kentucky. She was a loving wife and mother. She worked for Lakeside Place Nursing home for more than 30 years where she was a dedicated advocate for the patients and treated each with care and compassion. Joan was a sports lover and rarely missed a Cincinnati Reds or UK basketball game on TV. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Providence High School in Newport, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents Lydia and William Scheibly; her husband Charles S. Rowe and baby Jon. Joan is survived by her children Tom (Julie) Rowe; Terry (Jim) Roessler; Judy (Mike) Caldwell; Jim (Sally) Rowe; Bob (Angie) Rowe; 14 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday, November 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington Street, Alexandria, Kentucky. Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, November 14, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Parish, 8246 East Main Street, Alexandria, Kentucky. Burial to follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, 1523 Alexandria Pike, Ft. Thomas, Kentucky.
Memorial donations are suggested to: St. Mary Parish, 8246 East Main Street, Alexandria, KY 41001; or, The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 (legacy.woundedwarriorproject.org).
