Joan was born October 29,1932, to Harvey and Ina (Willey) Page in Fond du Lac, WI. Joan graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1951. She worked at Wisconsin Tractor and Equipment (where she met Wilmer) until she married. She returned to worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank – Marytown for 16 ½ years until her retirement in December 1986.

She married Wilmer Wagner on August 14, 1954, at St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg. Wilmer preceded her in death on March 6, 2003. They lived in Pipe, WI their entire married life. After retirement they enjoyed camping, travel and became winter snowbirds to Florida after many years of enjoying the snow as snowmobilers.

Until her death she loved spending time with her family and friends playing cards, games and just talking. Bob Maurice proceeded her in death but was a special friend and companion after Wilmer’s passing. They kept each other company and took care of each other.

She is survived by two sons and four grandchildren. Gary and Sandra (Pape) Wagner who retired and live in Townsend, WI. They have two sons Derek and Corey. Derek made a career in the US Airforce and after 22 years retired from the service and lives in Pickerel,WI. Corey and his wife Laura (Schmitz) live and work in Salt Lake City, UT and have two children, Della 10 and Corbin 8.

Richard (Dick) and wife Robin (O’Neil) are retired and live in Orland Park, IL. They have two daughters, Michelle and Katherine. Michelle resides in Champaign, IL and works for the University of Illinois. Katie (Wagner) Dizonno and her husband Brian, live in Wentzville, MO (St. Louis). Both are engineers for the Boeing Corporation.

Joan was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. She was a volunteer and member of the FDL Senior Center, Red Hat Society and senior chorus. She enjoyed playing cards (and talking anyone into playing), reading, crocheting, concerts, travel, and valued time with her family.

She also is survived by two nieces, Susan Page and Amy (Frank) Blain, both of Peoria, IL and one grand niece, Melissa Blain. A nephew, Gregory (Penny) Page lives in Everett, WA.

She was preceded in death by Wilmer, her husband of 49 years; her parents, Harvey and Ina Page; brother, Melvin Page; sister-in-law, Mary (Temple) Page; and her in-laws, Claude and Della Wagner.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th St. Way, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at the church at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow the service at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joan’s name can be directed to the American Heart Association.
