The Rosary Service is Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 7:30 pm, and the Memorial Service will be offered Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:30 am, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Lucille (Girrens) Mainz; brother, Bill Mainz; and sister-in-law, Marge Mainz (Steve). Joan is survived by her husband of 68 years, Vince Wesolowsky, and her children Jennifer, Will (Kristen) and Kathryn (Wayne) Talbot and four grandchildren, Roman and Sarah Talbot and Brynleigh and Alyse Wesolowsky; brothers Steve, Stan (Marilyn), Eric (Barb); sister Vera (Greg Girolami) and sister-in-law, Lois (Bill).

Joan graduated from Andale High School and Sacred Heart College. She was an elementary teacher spending her last 17 years teaching at Christ the King School in Wichita, KS. While there she planned, built, and ran two computer labs while also teaching computer classes. After obtaining Novell certification, she networked the entire school. After her retirement CKS named the lab the Joan Wesolowsky Computer Lab.

Joan, writing as Joan Vincent, was an historical author of over 14 published Georgian and Regency novels. These include the Honour series, Napoleonic spy mysteries. She was a member of Romance Writers of American from 1981 and almost as long a member of the Beau Monde, a regency writing group, as well as a member of the Wichita Area Romance Authors.

Joan was an amateur graphic artist doing work for her husband's Knights of Columbus Council and TOPS KS 0985 for which she also kept the scrapbook. She loved growing and arranging flowers, sewing–especially pjs and nighties for the grandchildren, hand quilting, crocheting, and was an avid reader. She collected research books with her sister, Vera, and the collection, as well as her original manuscripts, have been donated to the Newman University Library.
