JoAnn Mahaffey Obituary
JoAnn was born December 14, 1962 in Concord to the late Rev. Phillip Isaiah White and the late Mary Catherine Helms White. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dannie Claudette Kiker.
JoAnn loved working with children at School Food Service. She was strong in her faith and enjoyed working with the prison ministry for several years in Mt. Pleasant. She loved to sing, especially at church. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden. JoAnn was a devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful Nana. She dearly loved her grandchildren. JoAnn will be dearly missed and forever loved.
Survivors include beloved husband of 42 years, James Mahaffey of the home; "daughter," Makaylia Adcock of the home; daughter, Jammie (Robert) Adcock of Concord; daughter, Jennifer (Steven) Tilley of Kannapolis; grandsons, Drew Adcock and T.J. Tilley; brothers, Roger (Carolyn) White of Dallas, Ronald (Peggy) White of Kannapolis, and Donnie White of Salisbury; sister, Kathy Huggins of Salisbury; and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am - 9:45 am, Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service in celebration of JoAnn's life will follow at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Ray Blankenship. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.
