Joann A. Pileggi
Age 86 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025.
Joann was born and raised in New Castle to the late Joseph and Marian (Grato) Pileggi. She was a proud graduate of St. Paul's Commercial.
Joann went to work for Richards, Layton, and Finger PA. She was a dedicated employee for over 30 years where she made many lifelong friends. Joann was a faithful catholic and was a member of Corpus Christi Church.
In her free time, Joann loved to travel. Some of her favorite memories were made on trips to Ocean City, New Jersey, Virginia Beach, and Las Vegas.
Joann was a kind, considerate, and good-hearted person who would often put others before herself. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Pileggi and Nicholas Pileggi, and her nephews, Richard, Stephen, and Michael DiSimplico.
She leaves behind her siblings, Theresa DiSimplico and Rev. Francis Pileggi, OSFS. Joann is also survived by her dear friends, Marie, Debbie, Lillian, Ruthie, Lorraine, Joanie, Joan, Aloma, and Mary.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Rd., Wilm., DE on Monday, April 7 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call at the church from 11:00am-12:00pm. Interment will be held at Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Joann's name to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2002 Sproul Rd., Suite 102, Broomall, PA 19008, or Oblates of St. Francis deSales, 2200 Kentmere Pkwy., Wilm., DE 19806.
