Joann Marie Tippens, age 68, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. A funeral service to honor Joann's life will be held at 2 PM, January 11, 2025, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
She was born on July 30, 1956, in Snyder, Texas, and will be fondly remembered for her kindness, dedication to her family, and passion for life.
Joann enjoyed a fulfilling career working at the State Hospital in Lubbock during her earlier years. She later returned to Snyder, where she found joy in her work at Cogdell Memorial Hospital. Her compassionate spirit and commitment to her work left a lasting impact on colleagues and those she cared for.
Joann was a light of hope for her family and always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Her presence could brighten any room, and she had a special gift for reminding everyone of the good times, no matter the situation. Her warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed.
In her free time, Joann loved reading books, solving puzzles, and nurturing her family with unconditional love and support. Her home was always a welcoming place filled with warmth and laughter.
She is survived by her son, Jordan Tippens; her siblings, Howard (Ella) Newsome, Willie (Kay) Tippens, Trey Tippens, and Myra Tippens; and a host of nephews and nieces who brought joy to her life.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Clee and Vernest Tippens; her sister, Linda Tippens; and her brother, Roland Tippens.
Joann's legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
