JoAnne Burgess Coldiron, 88, of Milano passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. (Her mom's birthday) in Caldwell. A graveside service will be held at 10 am, Friday, June 6th, 2025, at Sand Grove Cemetery, with Alden Crowe officiating. The family will receive visitors, Thursday, June 5th from 5-7 pm at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, Rockdale, TX.
JoAnne was born on June 11, 1936, in Temple to Woodrow Wilson and Mittie Anne Haddox Burgess. She attended Rockdale ISD.
On November 29, 1952, she married Bobby Ray Coldiron in Chriesman, TX. She was employed at the Dixie Theater as a teenager. After marriage she was employed with Fletcher Farms in their poultry operation. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren along with spending time with her husband as he was attending jamborees. She also had many friends she spent time with, especially Pauline Dodd and Boy Arledge. She was a good cook, and her children can't decide on what is her best meal because they were all delicious.
JoAnne is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Coldiron; Parents Woodrow and Mittie Burgess, brother Woody Burgess, sister Patsy Moody; Mother & Father In-Law, Alton and Eunice Coldiron, Brother In-Law; J.R. Coldiron, Gene Moody & Eddie Collins; son-in-law, Arvin Jones.
JoAnne is survived by her daughter; Charlotte Jones, Son; Randy Coldiron and wife, Missy, grandchildren; Jennifer Ivins and husband, Terry, Chance Coldiron and wife, Alexis, Mikey Coldiron and wife Melisa, Eric Jones and wife Kelsey, Mandy Clanton and husband Daniel & Robert Reese & wife Jacqueline; 21 great-grandchildren; brother Jimmy Burgess and wife, Delaine; sister, Vivian Collier and husband Johnny, sister-in-law; Mary Beth Burgess and Joyce Collins and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers are Randy Coldiron, Chance Coldiron, Mikey Coldiron, Eric Jones, Seth Coldiron and Tommy Coldiron.
