JoAnne Jenkins (nee Jorg), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on September 19, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 9, 1946, in
Cincinnati, Ohio, JoAnne was the cherished daughter of Robert and Ellanora "Ella" Jorg. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories, which will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
JoAnne met her husband, John Jenkins, and they joyfully married, embarking on a beautiful journey together enriched by their two children, John E. and Jennifer. As a devoted homemaker, JoAnne found immense joy in nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. She cherished family gatherings, where bonds were strengthened and memories were made. Saturdays were specially reserved for delightful lunches and shopping trips with her daughter, a time that brought them both immense joy.
A woman of simple pleasures, JoAnne also had a spirited side, enjoying days filled with excitement at the casinos with her friends and reveling in the thrill of Bingo games. Her zest for life, her deep love for family, and her caring nature will be greatly missed.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Jenkins, in 2017, as well as her parents, Robert and Ellanora Jorg, and her brothers, Ron and Gary Jorg. She leaves behind an incredible legacy of love, as she is survived by her children, John (Amy) Jenkins and Jennifer (John Rodamer) Kirkland; her adored grandchildren, Megan (Aden) Sanders and Madison Jenkins; and her precious great-grandchildren, Blair Sanders and Baby Sanders, who is expected in November. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Mim and Joyce Jorg, along with many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, located at 138 Monitor Ave., Sayler Park, OH 45233, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10 AM until the time of the Blessing Service at 11 AM, officiated by Fr. Benedict O'Cinnsealaigh. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (New) at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the
American Cancer Society, with a representative from the funeral home available to accept donations during the gathering. For those unable to attend, contributions may also be mailed to Brater Winter Funeral Home at 138 Monitor Ave.,
Cincinnati, OH 45233.
JoAnne Jenkins will be lovingly remembered for her nurturing spirit, her laughter, and the indelible mark she left on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
