Joanne L. Noble Majchrzak, 89 ½, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on July 6, 1935, the daughter of the late John E. and Edna M. Johnson Noble.
Joanne graduated from North Idaho Junior College. After moving to and marrying in Erie, Pennsylvania, she worked at Erie Insurance and St. Luke's Catholic School cafeteria. Before retirement, she worked for Microbac Laboratories Inc. for 19 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and volunteered many years at Zabawa. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing scrabble, doing crossword puzzles, and listening to the music of Frank Sinatra. Joanne loved rides around Presque Isle and going out to breakfast and lunch with family and friends. Joanne's absolute joy in her life was her family, whom she loved traveling and spending time with. She never missed a family event.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Bernard F. Majchrzak; her son, Mark J. Majchrzak; and her brother, Mickey Fitzgerald (Joy).
Survivors include her two daughters, Marcia Nitczynski (Joe) and Michele Koszegi (Kenny), all of Erie; four grandchildren, Sarah Anthony (Pam), Nathan Nitczynski, Tori Koszegi and Erin Koszegi; her extended family in Idaho; and her dear friend, Sharon Baranski.
Joanne's family would like to thank all the staff in the Blue Heron neighborhood at Manchester Commons., especially Elyssa, Kim, Anthony, Sheba, Kyle and Dean for their extra special moments of time that added joy to her care each and every day. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Josh Bickford, FNP-C, for his exceptional support and love that he gave Joanne and for being part of her story.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m. and are invited there the following morning for a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of this. I worked with Joanne for many years at Microbac, before I left Erie. She was such a fun and warm person.
