Herkimer – Mrs. Joanne K Servello, 88, of Herkimer passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Fred and Clementina Pizzuto D'Amato and she attended Dolgeville schools. She was married to Joseph Servello on November 24, 1951 in Dolgeville. Joseph passed away on February 20, 2010. Joanne was a faithful member of Redeemer Church, N. Utica. When Joanne accepted Jesus in her life, she never looked back but moved with unshakable love for her Savior and showed that to everyone who met her.
Joanne is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Pastor Michael and his wife, Barbara Servello of Whitesboro NY and Anthony and his wife, Dee Servello of Herkimer NY; one daughter and son in law, Judy and her husband, Richard Bach of Mohawk NY; one sister, Amelia Rossiter of Pascale WA; her grandchildren, Pastor Michael and his wife, Melissa Servello of Whitesboro NY, Pastor Joseph and his wife, Kelly Servello of Whitesboro NY, Rachael and her husband, Matt Daughtry of Clinton NY, AJ and his wife, Libby Servello of Ilion NY, Adam and his wife, Nomi Servello of Austin TX and Giovanni Servello of Herkimer NY; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Renee Crumbaker
Her funeral will be held Friday morning, May 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Redeemer Church, 931 Herkimer, Rd N. Utica where a funeral service will be celebrated by her son, Pastor Michael Servello and assisted by Pastor Stephen Fedele. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 4 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Redeemer Church 931 Herkimer, Rd, N. Utica. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joanne's memory may be made to Compassion Coalition 509 Lafayette St, Utica NY 13502. Envelopes will be available at the church.
