Joaquin Gurule Obituary

Joaquin Gurule, age 72, a lifelong resident of Jarales and formally of Casa Colorada went home to meet his heavenly father on December 28th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Our Lady of Belen catholic Church, starting with a Visitation at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Joaquin is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 54 years, Sylvia Gurule; loving daughter and son in law, Lennie and Ed; loving son and daughter in law, Ruben and Roberta; beautiful granddaughters, Arianna and Katarina; loving niece who Joaquin thought of as a daughter, Michelle Armijo and her partner James; beloved brother, Joe Gurule; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Joaquin is preceded in death by his parents, Hermenes and Josephita Gurule; his brother, Ruben Gurule; sister in laws, Virginia Armijo and Marilyn Gurule; beloved nephews, Andre and Chistian James Gurule. Joaquin was well known throughout the community for his 32 years of dedicated service at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Joaquin took pride in maintaining the grounds at the Church. Joaquin was often praised for his hard work. Joaquin played a huge part in setting up for Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church Fiestas. You would always see Joaquin always willing to lend a helping hand. Joaquin was an avid car lover and you could often see him attending the local car shows with his son Ruben. Joaquin was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in the community who needed help. If you needed something to eat or wood in the winter Joaquin would find a way to help out. Joaquin's kind and generous spirit will be missed by so many. Thank you to the Amber care Angels who provided loving and compassionate care to Joaquin in his final days.
