Jody L. “Joe” Beeler Sr., 66, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Born in Waynesboro, PA, Joe was a 1977 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and spent nearly 20 years driving dump truck. He loved fishing, hunting, computer games, and watching military shows. His biggest passions were trains, his cats, and spending time with family. Joe was known for his Mountain Dew, a nightly shot of brandy, and his love of cookouts, laughter, and simple moments. He was proud to have met President Bush and will be remembered for his humor and big heart. In he’s teenage journey he achieved the level of Eagle Scout, before transitioning into a family man. He was a member of Assembly of God of Greencastle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Beeler no children ; Ex wife, Lisa Creager mother of his children, Jody L. Beeler Jr. (wife Amanda) of Shippensburg, Jesse L. Beeler (wife Abby) of Fort Loudon, Matthew Beeler Sr. (fiancée Jessica Brechbiel) of Big Cove Tannery, and Michael Beeler (fiancée Leah Meyers) of Greencastle; stepdaughters, Tiffany Kettoman of Hagerstown MD and Christina Morgan of Tennessee ; his mother, Vivianne “Mamma V” Washburn; sisters, Candy Morgan (husband Michael “Doc”) and Denise “Skeeter” Cramer (husband Larry “Buck”), both of Tennessee; and brother, Arnold “Ty ”Beeler (wife Brandy) of Greencastle. Joe also leaves behind many grandchildren who loved their Pappy dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Ordean Beeler.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6-8 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225. Joe will be forever missed and fondly remembered for the love, laughter, and light he brought to every life he touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation at www.nationalmssociety.org.
