Jody Weaver, 62, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023. Visitation will be held at Fry-Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Ovalo Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with burial to follow in Counts Cemetery.
Jody was born on June 4, 1961. He was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved to be around his family and friends. He loved animals and brought home ever stray he could. He enjoyed sitting outside on nice days just listening to any and every different kind of music. He enjoyed sports and poker.
Jody is preceded in death by mother, Anne Rogers, stepfather Gene Rogers, grandparents, Roy and Kate Lee and Olan "Red" and Myrtie Weaver.
He is survived by his father, Buddy Weaver; his children Dylan Weaver, Katie Weaver, TJ Weaver, Wesley Weaver, and Riley Weaver, granddaughter JLynn Harris; sisters Theresa Kennemar and husband Steve, Dena Souder, Louanne Stanley and husband Micki, brother, Kevin Weaver, sister, Michelle Weaver; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Jody was a great dad, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
