Joe Martinez Sanchez, (1946-2025)
Joe Sanchez peacefully passed away at the age 78 on July 2nd, 2025, in Roswell New Mexico surrounded by his loving family. Joe's life was a testament to Family, friends, love, and perseverance. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Joe's family at www.andersonbethany.com.
A memorial service will be held in Joe's honor on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Please come and join the family as they remember and honor Joe.
Joe was born on September 2, 1946, in Visalia, California, to Mike and Conchita
Sanchez. Joe Married his loving wife Judy Sanchez September 28, 1977, and together they started and raised a beautiful family. Joe took pride in his family and always made time for his kids and grandkids. For numerous years Joe worked for the State of New Mexico Highway Department where he embodied the values of hard work and dedication. He instilled these values in his children.
Joes interest were long talks with his kids and grandkids he loved hearing about their day. He also enjoyed classic cars, and taking care of his yard and home. Joe also enjoyed spending time with his close friends and listening to the gospel music on tv.
Joe is survived by his daughters: Shonia Cobos and husband Ruben, Sheri Sanchez, Brandy Sanchez and sons Joseph Sanchez and girlfriend Meaghan Brown, and Dominic Sanchez.
Grandchildren: Sirena, S'Lena, and Serenity Cobos, Ashley and Michael-John Sanchez, Andrew Sanchez, Meziah Sanchez, Keaton and Kenzie Thompson, Azalynn, Ariella, and Zaye Sanchez.
Great-grandchildren: Avidan Arlet, and one great-granddaughter to be.
Siblings: Mike Sanchez Jr, and Richard Sanchez; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Paco.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Sanchez; Parents, Mike and Conchita Sanchez; and Siblings, Jimmy, Orlando, Bonnie, Patsy, Esther, Raymond, Anastacio, Nick, and Liz.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the following people for all the
Prayers and presence and love that they have shown Joe over time. - Carrie Flurry, Eastern New Mexico Medical Center CCU Nursing Staff, Dialysis Staff, and a Very Special Thank you is extended to his granddaughter Sirena Cobos for her unwavering care, kindness, dedication and loving support provided to Joe during his final years.
Psalm 34:18 reads "The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
