Our hearts are heavy with the announcement of the passing of Joella May Crook (Jo), 68, of Livingston, Montana on January 21, 2025. She was born in Lancaster, California on June 27, 1956 to Robert James Fear and Donna May Fear (Lime). Jo grew up in California and transplanted to Montana in 1978, she was a long time resident of Livingston, she had various jobs through out her life, from nursing in nursing homes to administrative work at Industrial Towel and Livingston Rebuild Center. She made friends every where she worked, caring and empathetic to those that she came to know.
Jo was married to Ronnie D. Crook for 43 years. Ronnie was her soul mate, she met him through extended family, John and Wanda Kelleher, fast friends to a romance creating a relationship that was built on trust, proved to her through true actions of dedication and love even in the most difficult times. Their marriage was full of love, care, happiness, and laughter. They each have 2 children they brought to the relationship making it a already made family with love and support to all of them. They have one beautiful girl together who became the light in their eyes. Her happiness was her family in every way. Her smiles big and warm anytime there was family visiting or causing fun ruckus.

Her biggest blessings were her grandchildren. She was proud of each and every one of them. She was proud of the tenacity, intelligent, and resilient character each and everyone of them display. She whole heartedly adored them and wished nothing but the best for their futures.
Jo had a very special relationship with her grandchildren, Desiree and Josie, keeping them close to her heart and her home through the years with fun playtime, sleepovers, crafts, and as they got older thrift store shopping, which they hold dear to their pocket books today.
As adults, her grandchildren who lived further away, she was able to establish special relationships with through phone calls, video chats, and visits. She became best friends with Melody talking about everything and nothing at the same time, talking about true crime and their love for mini brands and crafts. She loved talking with Nicole, Hailey, and Cierra about everyday life, the great grandkids, crafts, and she was so proud of them following their educational goals and keeping up with life's ups and down. There were many group video chats with her daughters and Grandchildren discussing true crime cases and catching up on life. Alex is her youngest grandson and a musical genius and she really engaged in learning and watching his music shows online. She became a fast fan and was so proud of his talents and his wisdom at his young age.
Jo was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Robert and Donna Fear, Brother; Barry Fear, Mother and Father in Law; Harold and Gracie Crook, and her granddaughter Cierra Stewart.
Her heavenly home awaited her and she is now at peace. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and always cherished as a blessing to our family.
