John David Brelia, 86, of Chesterfield Street, Keeseville, died Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his home, under the loving care of his family and High Peaks Hospice.
He was born in Plattsburgh, January 8, 1939, the son of Adolphus and Blanche (Stone) Brelia. He grew up in Keeseville and graduated from Keeseville High School.
John worked for the Village of Keeseville as a heavy equipment operator for many years, prior to retiring.
He was a member of St. John's parish in Keeseville, and a lifetime member of the Keeseville Elks Lodge #2072.
John was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and golfing.
Left to cherish the memory of John are, his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Bowe) Brelia; four children, Chris (Robin) Beckham, David (Danyelle) Brelia, Lisa (Dana) Bashaw, and Nicole (Jason) Prentiss; and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Howard Brelia; and sisters, Barbara Rondeau, Marion Desotelle, and Martha Taylor.
No calling hours will be held, however a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville, at a date and time to be announced. Committal prayers and burial will follow the Mass, in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to High Peaks Hospice.
