It is with deep sorrow, we announce the death of our son, John Michael " Mikey" Curry Jr., also, to some old friends, " JC ". He gained his wings to be with our Lord and savior on Saturday, December 2, 2023, with his family by his side at the age of 44.
Mike was born in Lexington, Kentucky on October 3, 1979, the son of John Michael Curry Sr. and Laura Curry Howard. Mike was a professional painter and laborer residing in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He lived with his girlfriend of 7 years, Denise Abney, and their son, Colton Curry. He cherished his little boy and was a very proud father. Mike's life with his children will never be forgotten.
He loved the outdoors, riding horses, playing bingo, and spending time with family. He was a spiritual man that loved the Lord, reading the word, and listening to worship and praise music.
He is survived by his father, John M. Curry Sr. (Nicholasville, Ky); mother, Laura Curry Howard (Paris, Ky); daughters, Kimberly Vaughn Summers (Shane); Kayla Vaughn Kidd, (Joshua); son, Colton Reed Curry; grandsons, AJ and Xavier and Atreyus; sister, Amanda Goff (Nathan); niece, Alexa Humphrey; nephew, Aiden Humphrey; with a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
In honor of Mike's memory, we ask that you join us in Celebration of Life Service at 4:30PM, Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Sode' -Zo Center, 2007 Ashgrove Road, Nicholasville, Kentucky, officiated by Pastor Jason Carter. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM until time of service.
"When everything seems like an uphill struggle, just think of the view from the top."
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Isaiah House Treatment Center.
Care Cremation and Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with final care.
