John Michael Dotson, 73, of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 16, 2023. John was born May 29, 1949, in Lima, Ohio the son of the late Woodrow and Claudeane (Wollet) Dotson. On August 5, 1977, John married Melanie (Scarbrough) Dotson. She preceded him in passing on May 17, 2002.
John proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy. He then received his bachelor's from the University of South Florida and went on to work as a Product Manager for Chadwell Supply. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, visiting different MLB stadiums, and traveling with his family throughout the years.
John is survived by his three children; Stephen (Rachel) Yurcaba, Rachel Dotson, and Lauren (Matthew) Dalgetty; three sisters Carolyn Powell, Donna (James) Miller, and Deb Dotson; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by four sisters, Barbara McClure, Judy Sanderson, Pat Priest, and Mary Fast; and his brother James Dotson.
Memorial services will be at 12 noon Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com
