John Fransen Obituary
John was born July 5, 1956 in Freeport, IL. He is the youngest son of Betty Jane Stroup (Alich) and James John Fransen. John was said to be a reserved man of tradition. He was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. His favorite pastimes were fishing, pheasant hunting, classic cars, and watching classic westerns. In his earlier years he bred Weimaraners. You could say he had a deeper love for animals over people, especially his numerous cats named Tom. The heart and soul of a man can be found in his connection to nature and animals.
He is survived by his three daughters, Elizabeth Fransen of Sterling, Michelle Rehorst of Freeport, Jamie Fransen of Cape Girardeau, MO, one son, Josh (Melissa) Fransen of Baileyville, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one brother James (Deborah) Fransen.
He is preceded in death by his beloved brother, William Fransen, with whom he shared the closest of bonds and most of his life with.
Per John's wishes there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
