John M. Gebert Sr.

John M. Gebert, Sr., 70, of Blue Bell, PA, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Marie (McVey) Gebert. John was born in Abington, PA on June 21, 1952 to the late Harold H. and Joan (Miller) Gebert. John was a graduate of Abington High School, where he was an All-State Lacrosse player and multi-sport athlete. He loved to run and was successful in completing numerous marathons around the world. He went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Ashland University in Ohio where he also played lacrosse and soccer. John received his graduate degree from The Ohio State University. He was founder and president of Manor Properties, a custom home builder and partnered in Mid-Atlantic Millwork Sales where he served as an independent sales manager. John loved trips to Stone Harbor with his family and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at Happy Hour. Along with his wife, he is survived by his three children: John M. Gebert, Jr. (Lori), Christopher S. Gebert (Jaclyn), Melissa S. Campanini (Peter); 4 Step-daughters: Jacqueline Hill (Jason), Lauren Trainor (Jake), Nina Cardosanto (Dakota), Nicole Pellegrino (John); 18 grandchildren with one on the way; a sister Jill Kyle (George); a brother Peter Gebert (Ellen). He was predeceased by his first wife Susan (Smith) Gebert. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11 AM at St. Helena Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. A visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11 AM at the Church. Interment will be private.
