Gerzseny, John Steven - Age 83, of Flint, died May 8, 2025.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Rd., Flint, Michigan, Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the Mass at 12 PM at the church on Wednesday May 14. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.
John was born November 27, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Steven and Elizabeth (Kocsis) Gerzseny. He married Darlene Farrel on November 3, 2000. He retired from General Motors with 40 years of service. He was an avid all around Sports fan, especially of the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan. He enjoyed the '50's and '60's music he grew up with. John loved his wife Darlene unconditionally.
Surviving are: his wife of nearly 25 years, Darlene; two daughters, Suzanne (Bill) Smith, Fortune Gerzseny Hovind; step-children, April (Dan) Pengelly, Kenneth Scramlin II; grandchildren, Tess, Ian, Anastazia, and Declan; one brother, David (Linda) Gerzseny. and the family dog, Lucky; and Sally the cat. He was preceded in death by his parents.
