His wife Linda Grimes,
His brother Timothy Grimes,
Nephews Joshua (Bridgette) Grimes and Christopher Grimes,
Great nieces and nephews Savanna, Christian, and Bella
And grandchildren of the heart Kearstin, Angela, Addyson, and their parents Michael and Tiffany,
along with numerous extended family and friends.
John was a devoted, loving husband, as well as a loving brother, and beloved friend to many. He was a children's ministry teacher and great story teller of the Gospel at Hillvue Heights Church and Church on Main for many years. John was a CASA (court appointed special advocate) volunteer for a few years. One of Johns passions was advocating for " at risk" children. John received the Jefferson Award (for outstanding public service) for Warren County in 2005. John enjoyed sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey, and St Louis Rams football team and was a collector of St. Louis sports memorabilia. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation Monday August 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30, Cedar Hill, MO, 63016. Followed by internment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rdStreet, New York, NY 10016.
